SERVICES
The Hospice may provide additional services such as
- homemaking,
- physical therapy,
- occupational therapy,
- speech therapy,
- dietary, and
- psychological counseling.
Hospice is not just any other type of care service, but rather a holistic philosophy of care encompassing mind, body, and spirit. This profound philosophy aims to derive a meaningful, comfortable and improved quality of life for those who are under its care.
A hospice care will be given to terminally ill patients with a life expectancy of six (6) months or less, and/or when patients and/or their family agree to be placed in a comfort and curative care haven. Most importantly, certification of a physician is needed.
Studies have shown that hospice care is less expensive than conventional care due to lesser usage of high-cost technology, and the presence of family, friends, and volunteers that could provide day-to-day patient care at home.
Hospice care will provide bereavement-related support ranging from individual to group grief counseling up to 13 months after losing a patient.
